His PhD Thesis was successfully\u00a0 defended in June 1987.<\/p>\n<p>He has participated in numerous national and international congresses and conferences were he has\u00a0 presented more than one hundred presentations.<br \/>He has published over seventy seven scientific papers in peer reviewed national and international\u00a0 journals (see list of publications).<\/p>\n<p>He has published six scientific books:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Replacement of the interarticular disc of the craniomandibular joint: An experimental and\u00a0 clinical study( Eurosound Drukkerij, Nijmegen The Netherlands, 209 pages, 1987)<\/li>\n<li>Carcinomas of the skin and its adnexae in the head and neck (Parisianos Medical Publications,\u00a0 Athens Greece, 217 pages, 2003)<\/li>\n<li>Cervical lymph node metastases: Diagnosis and Treatment(Foreword Prof. Vasilis Golematis,\u00a0 Athens University\/Central Board of Health-\u039aE\u03a3\u03a5) (Parisianos Medical Publications, Athens\u00a0 Greece , 413 pages, 2008)<\/li>\n<li>Malignant melanoma: Current Concepts (Eleftheroudakis, Athens Greece, 273 pages, 2015)<\/li>\n<li>Soft tissue injuries of the scalp, face, and neck (Eleftheroudakis, Athens Greece, 191 pages,2020)<\/li>\n<li>Soft tissue injuries of the head and neck (Foreword Prof.Paul Manson, Johns Hopkins\u00a0 University)(Springer Nature, Switzerland, 189 pages, 2023)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He has also published numerous articles in newspapers and magazines on Plastic Surgery, Skin\u00a0 Cancer, Breast Pathology, Facial Traumatology etc.<\/p>\n<p>He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Cranio-Max. Fac. Surgery (since 1989 \u2013 has\u00a0 also served as section Editor for the same Journal). He has also served as reviewer for various other international scientific (mainly surgical) journals.<\/p>\n<p>He is, or has been, a member of several medical and surgical societies and associations in\u00a0 Europe, North America, Australia etc. He is also a member of nonmedical societies and\u00a0 associations (Athens Club, Corfu Reading Society
